About Me

Hello my friends! Experience with writing two other blogs for others finally inspired me to do my own. Maybe I have something relevant to say, maybe I really don’t. I do know I will try.

I have entered that realm of “middle-age”, and although it took a while, today I accept that as a fact and embrace it. All it really means is I have more experience in certain areas than others. I still make mistakes, but I guarantee that I continue to put one foot in front of another and keep working hard. Life is too good not to do so.

I love music, live concerts, Fellowship, writing, amateur wrestling, baseball, reading, good coffee and good friends. I admire honesty, a strong work ethic, accountability and the desire to change. A wise man once told me, “Whining is an Offspring of Futility”. You were right Big Red.

I hope you enjoy the journey through The Musings of Frank Gallardo.

  1. hi – you mentioned scott carson of indian school a few months back. i’m an OLD friend (i haven’t talked to him in about 17 years) and i would like to connect with him. would you perhaps have some connection that could get me an address or email? it would be greatly appreciated and great blog!

  2. Hey coach, how have you been? I was driving down Dunlap, by the “farm” before 7th Ave and thought, “I wonder what coach Gallardo is up to?” Good ol’ Google led me here. Hope all is well!

    • Thanks Max! “Retired” so to speak from coaching, firmly ensconced in the corporate world at American Express now and loving it. Amazing how a search engine can actually help you find someone nowadays. I hope you’re doing well.

  3. Hi tfronky, your musings and music archive is fabulous and far reaching, I am involved in the writing of a book covering the years at Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow since Simple Minds first played the re-opening from a ballroom to a music venue and right up to date. Your covering of Big Country at the New Years concert was great and the video’s superb. Do you have any personal memories of Barrowland or quotes from the bands?. Thanks.

    • Hi Monty, thanks for taking the time to comment! I wish I could be a resource for you but I live in the U.S. and have never seen a show at Barrowland Ballroom. That Big Country concert is a show I saw on MTV when I was in high school. Good luck with that book and keep me updated, would love to read it!

  4. Hi. Saw Peter Hook with my son last night–good show and nice to have my son meet him. Haven’t seen him since Compton Terrace in ’87. The Mansfield, MA show was amazing; Compton Terrace sucked–really sucked . . . so much so, that I swore I’d never see NO again (sorry that was your first experience with them). Contact me. I have some other interesting info on that show for you. 😉

  5. Nice to come across your Blog via the Facebook FR Recognition group! I am here with my Blog too! Lets’ follow each other! I am an artist and I have created a watercolor painting as Tribute Portrait of Scott in his loving memory check it out! Maybe you already saw it posted on the group! Keep yourself warm! Carolina
