On the sixth day of Christmas Tfronky Style

The Dickies - "Silent Night"
Okay, this post really is in conjunction with Day Six of the festivities. Let’s “punk” it up a bit as we get ready for bed. The Dickies are still alive and kicking – in fact, I just saw them for the first time since I was in my twenties last year when they played a frenetic set at Club Red. The West Coast answer to The Ramones is in my opinion one of if not the best band in terms of playing a cover song and completely making it their own. The Dickies managed to do that once again with their take on this holiday classic.

The original version was composed back in 1818 and is a solemn Christmas carol. The 1978 version by The Dickies is shall we say, not so pristine and traditional. But it is awesome!

I love when I find one of these Christmas lights videos. Cheers!
