The National – Think You Can Wait

Folks, I have SERIOUSLY been lagging on doing any updates lately for a myriad of reasons, but here is a great reason to check in briefly. The National recently released another amazing song entitled “Think You Can Wait” from the Thomas McCarthy directed (and Paul Giamatti starring) movie Win Win.

The track features guest vocals from Sharon Van Etten, who just so happens to be performing at the Rhythm Room tomorrow evening, March 23. Here is what the lead vocalist for The National Matt Berninger had to say about the inspiration for “Think You Can Wait”:

“It’s about very normal and good people trying to do their best and the struggle to be good. I mean, it isn’t at all narrative to what happens in the movie — we don’t mention Paul Giamatti by name or anything. But it was fun, and it’s a good song, we’re very proud of it.”

Check it out folks! I think you can add another stellar song to expanding catalog from The National! Cheers!

An amazing song by an amazing band. It is peaceful and yet poignant.
